Gazbar (hereinafter “the App”) is published by mcsEdition. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

1. Data collected

  • •Geographic location (GPS) — used solely to display the nearest stations and calculate distances.
  • •Notification token (FCM token) — used to send price alerts if you enable notifications.
  • •User preferences (fuel type, search radius, price threshold) — stored locally on your device.

2. Data usage

  • •Your location is used exclusively to find nearby stations. It is never sold or shared with third parties.
  • •The notification token is sent to our server solely for price alert delivery. It is deleted if you disable notifications.
  • •No personal data is used for advertising purposes.

3. Storage and security

Preferences are stored locally on your device. Communications with our servers are encrypted via HTTPS. We do not maintain any user profile database.

4. Third-party services

  • •Régie de l’énergie du Québec — gas price data source.
  • •OpenStreetMap / Mapbox — for map display.

5. Your rights

You can at any time:

  • •Disable location services in your device settings.
  • •Disable notifications in the App settings.

Terms of Use

1. Purpose

The Gazbar App allows you to compare gas prices in Quebec in real time. By using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. Access to service

The App is free and accessible without account creation. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

3. Data accuracy

Displayed prices come from public sources (Régie de l’énergie du Québec). While we strive to keep data up to date, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information. Prices at the pump may vary.

4. Intellectual property

All content of the App (design, code, trademarks) is the property of mcsEdition. Any unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.

5. Limitation of liability

mcsEdition shall not be held liable for decisions made based on the information provided by the App, nor for any direct or indirect damages resulting from its use.

6. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon publication in the App.
