Why Vibe?

Travelling solo is a transformative experience: the freedom to choose your destination, change plans, immerse yourself in a culture at your own pace. But solo travel can also feel lonely.

Vibe is not a dating app: it is a tool for building authentic connections between travellers. An interactive map, detailed profiles, clear travel goals. Whether you are looking for a hiking partner in Bali or someone to share a meal in Medellín, Vibe connects you with travellers who match your energy.

In brief

In brief

How does Vibe help with solo travel?

Vibe is a travel companion for solo travellers who want to meet other travellers present in the same city on the same dates. The app shows an interactive map where each profile is positioned roughly 500 metres around the actual location — accurate enough to gauge proximity without revealing an exact address, for safety reasons. The user creates a trip by entering destination, arrival and departure dates, and 3 to 5 interests: work-friendly cafés, hiking, nightlife, photography, food, etc. Vibe then suggests up to 20 matching profiles per city, ranked by interest proximity. A "vibe" request replaces anonymous swipes: it requires a short message (minimum 30 characters) to limit non-personalised contacts and encourage genuine conversations.

Is Vibe safe for meeting strangers?

Vibe applies 4 documented safety mechanisms. First, real-time selfie profile verification — the user must reproduce a specific gesture in a selfie to prove they are not using a downloaded photo. Second, the position is intentionally blurred within a roughly 500-metre radius and is never shared in real time. Third, a reporting system with human moderation in under 24 hours can ban abusive profiles. Fourth, a profile's travel history is publicly visible, which discourages disposable accounts created to harass. Vibe contains no dating features: filters and conversations are designed around shared activities (hiking, cafés, museums). The app is free on iOS and Android, with an optional premium tier to extend the search radius.
